Welcome to Mrs. Jansen’s class. In my classroom, I prioritize creating a positive and encouraging environment where students feel safe to take risks and grow. Positive reinforcement is a key strategy I use to celebrate their efforts, progress, and achievements, helping to build confidence and a love for learning. Collaborative learning is woven into daily activities, as I encourage students to work together, share diverse perspectives, and develop problem-solving skills. I foster a growth mindset by teaching students to embrace challenges, learn from mistakes, and believe in the "power of yet"—reminding them that with persistence and effort, they can achieve their goals. Through these practices, I aim to nurture emotionally aware and intellectually curious students who are equipped to thrive academically and socially.
