Welcome to Ms. Zhou’s Mandarin Class! In my classroom, students will learn to speak, read, and write in Mandarin and explore Chinese culture. I aim to create a positive and inspiring learning environment. We work together to explore, create, and grow.
My name is Ms. Zhou, and I am excited to be a second-grade Mandarin teacher. This year, I will be teaching math, Mandarin, and science.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Michigan State University. During my student teaching, I developed a strong interest in bilingual education, which led me to pursue a master’s degree in the field at Teachers College, Columbia University. I have since taught in bilingual classrooms in New York and am thrilled to bring that experience to our school community.
In the classroom, I believe every child has unique talents and strengths. I look forward to a wonderful year of learning and growing together. This school year will be filled with new friends, exciting adventures, and meaningful discoveries!
