Welcome to Our 4th Grade Mandarin Immersion Classroom!

In our classroom, learning goes beyond language. It’s an exciting adventure where we dive into math, science, and Mandarin Chinese, all woven together to create a rich, hands-on educational experience. Here, we focus on building not just academic knowledge but also critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and cultural understanding.

Mathematics comes alive as we explore numbers, geometry, and real-world problem-solving through engaging activities—all taught in Mandarin. Students not only develop their math skills but also learn the vocabulary and concepts to discuss their ideas in a second language.

Science sparks curiosity as we conduct experiments, study the natural world, and ask big questions—all while practicing Mandarin. From the life cycle of plants to the laws of motion, students learn to think like scientists and communicate their findings in Chinese.

Mandarin language learning is at the heart of our immersion program. We practice reading, writing, listening, and speaking through interactive lessons, songs, stories, and projects. By using Mandarin as the primary language of instruction, students gain fluency and confidence while connecting with the rich history and culture of China.

This integrated approach helps students grow academically, develop bilingual skills, and become more globally minded. Together, we’ll explore, learn, and celebrate the joy of discovery!
