Ms. Chong

Hello,

I am excited to introduce myself to you. My name is Dianne Chong, and I recently moved to Arizona a few months ago to be closer to family. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from the University of Alaska Anchorage. This marks my 10th year of teaching—after spending 9 years in Alaska, I am thrilled to embark on my first year in Arizona.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, hiking, camping, and staying active with my first-grade son, Matteo, and our dog, Maka. I am honored to join the Desert Sage community and have the opportunity to teach your child. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that all children can become lifelong learners who explore, communicate, create, and interact with the world around them. My goal is to create a learning environment that encourages children to do their best, try new things, embrace who they are, and work collaboratively with their peers, all while respecting themselves, others, and their safety.

I believe that continuous collaboration between home and school is key to achieving this goal. I will send periodic newsletters to keep you updated on assignments and projects throughout the year.
