Hello!
My name is Mrs. Buchholz and I am one of the 5th grade teachers at Desert Sage Elementary School! I have been a substitute teacher for one year, taught 4th grade for one year, and have been teaching 5th grade from then on.
My Teaching Philosophy
Every student will be successful in their own way.
Whether a student is learning basic reading or dabbling in rocket science, I celebrate all the achievements in my classroom. Because of this, I work hard to make my assignments and activities fit the different levels of students in my classroom.
Education should be fun, engaging, inspiring, and provoke exploration.
My overall goal as a teacher is to make my students want to come to school, explore, and follow their imaginations and curiosities.

A.S. in Early Childhood Education from Antelope Valley College, CA.
B.A. in Child, Adolescent, and Family Studies from California State University of Bakersfield.
Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University of Bakersfield.
M.A. in Education / Curriculum and Instruction from University of Phoenix.
Currently working towards earning my Gifted Teaching Endorsement
