Kindergarten: Mandarin Immersion Program

English Language Arts & Social Studies

Welcome to Miss Fultz’s class, home of the biggest Baby Yoda fans in the galaxy! Little learners in my classroom will BLAST OFF into the world of English Language Arts and Social Studies. Through plentiful play-based learning, song, movement, chants, and dance, students will discover how much of the universe lies in the pages of books, and how much can be learned by paying attention to the world around us. Students will also discover the importance of being a “bucket filler” - someone who models perseverance, integrity, flexibility, and more to be the kindest they can be to not only others but to themselves.

About Ms. Fultz

My name is Lauren Fultz, and I'm very excited to be one of your child's kindergarten teachers for the 2024-2025 school year. This is my fifth year at Desert Sage, as I graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University in May 2020 with a BA in Elementary Education, an Early Childhood endorsement, an SEI endorsement, and a minor in Psychology. During my first year of teaching, I won the DVUSD Rookie of the Year Award, solidifying my love of the profession. I currently live in Peoria, Arizona; I spent 18 years of my life in Colorful Colorado but fell in love with Arizona and want to stay here for many years to come. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, exercising, and exploring both the cities and natural areas of Arizona. I cannot wait to have the best year ever with your child!
